Cybercrime lawyer in Belgrade, Serbia
Online fraud, a hijacked account, blackmail with intimate images or a summons from the special high-tech crime department of the prosecutor’s office — in these cases hours matter. We help victims secure evidence and start proceedings quickly, and we defend suspects from the very first interview.
High-tech (cyber) crime covers offences in which computers, networks, computer data or electronic devices are the target or the means. Serbia has a special prosecutorial jurisdiction for these cases: a special high-tech crime department of the prosecutor’s office in Belgrade, competent for the whole territory of Serbia, while the case is tried before the competent court. That is why cases from other cities — and from abroad — are usually handled by the prosecutor in Belgrade.

Representing victims
Screenshots with date and time, links, usernames and account IDs, e-mail headers, bank statements and payment confirmations, crypto wallet addresses and transaction IDs. Do not delete messages.
Blocking cards and accounts, disputing unauthorised transactions and requesting refunds where possible — the sooner, the better.
A complete complaint to the special high-tech crime prosecution department or the police, with all evidence and a precise timeline.
Reporting accounts and requesting removal of content and preservation of data needed for the investigation.
A property claim within the criminal proceedings or a civil claim for damages, with security measures where possible.
Defence of suspects
For suspects, what happens to devices and data is decisive. We check the lawfulness of searches and seizures of phones and computers, how data were extracted and preserved, and the digital forensics expert’s findings. Before any interview we go through your rights — including that you are not obliged to give a statement or to hand over passwords without your lawyer’s advice.
First steps if you are a victim
- Do not delete messages, e-mails or accounts — they are evidence
- Do not pay a blackmailer and stop the correspondence
- From another, secure device change passwords and enable two-factor authentication
- Call your bank immediately and block cards or accounts
- Contact a lawyer before filing a complaint, so that it is complete
Frequently asked questions — cybercrime
Where is cybercrime reported in Serbia?
To the special high-tech crime department of the prosecutor’s office in Belgrade or to the police. A lawyer can file the complaint on your behalf with all evidence, which speeds up the case.
Can I get my money back after online fraud?
It depends on the payment method and how quickly you react. Card and e-banking transactions can be disputed, and a property claim can be filed in criminal proceedings. With crypto, transactions can sometimes be traced and funds frozen at exchanges.
Someone is blackmailing me with intimate images — what should I do?
Do not pay and do not delete the messages. Keep the evidence, report the account to the platform and contact a lawyer. Such blackmail and publication are criminal offences, and urgent removal of content is possible.
The police seized my phone and computer — what now?
Ask for a receipt of seized items and contact a defence lawyer at once. We check the lawfulness of the search and seizure; do not give passwords or a statement without advice.
Do you represent foreign clients?
Yes. We work in English, and the special high-tech crime department of the prosecutor’s office in Belgrade has jurisdiction over the whole of Serbia. Consultations are also available online.
How long do cybercrime proceedings take?
It depends on the offence and evidence. If perpetrators or servers are abroad, the investigation takes longer due to international legal assistance — so a complete complaint from the start is important.
